Margrét Sigrún Sigurðardóttir an adjunct professor at the University of Iceland School of Business and a PhD candidate at Copenhagen Business School Department of Innovation and Organizational Economics. Her PhD deals with organisational structure of the UK music industry. The organisation of the music industry is an interesting field or research as in spite of huge technological changes its organisation has remained relatively stable with an 80/20 division of the market between majors and indies.
Margret is one of the authors of the book Penny for your thoughts - 10 lessons to help you invest in and grow with a creative business. The book attacks and reformulates ten of the most common myths about how to build and run a business in the creative industries. It is based on extensive research in the Nordic countries. The book is a result of the project "A penny for your thoughts" funded by the Nordic Innovation Centre and involving universities and business schools in Denmark, Iceland, Norway and Sweden.
