Antimony is an atmospheric alt-pop band comprising singer Rex Beckett (originally from Montreal), producer and guitarist Sigurður Angantýsson (Knife Fights), and bassist and singer Birgir Sigurjón Birgisson (Godchilla, Panos From Komodo). The trio formed in summer 2014 playing minimal, dark cold-wave but quickly discovered their fondness for producing dreamy, soaring electronic pop, heavily laden with post-adolescent emotion, sexual frustration and nightlife ennui. They released a four-track visual EP, OVA, in February 2015, which the Icelandic Music Review named one of the most interesting Icelandic EPs of 2015. In early 2016, Antimony were handpicked by Sigur Rós to play at the Citadel Festival in London, coinciding with the release of their debut album, Wild Life.
