Heidrik (Heiðrikur á Heygum) is a Faroese artist, filmmaker and musician. He was born and raised in the capital Tórshavn of The Faroe Islands but now lives in Reykjavík. Heiðrikur is already an established artist in his home country but not only known music but also his art and films. After moving to Iceland in 2014 Heiðrikur started recording his album “Funeral”, that was released in September 2016 which was produced by Janus Rasmussen from Kiasmos.

Heiðrikur’s music can be described as melancholic, filmic and mildly humorous -inspired by jazz and folk from 1920s to the 1950s. His fragile and versatile voice has been compared to singers, such as Anohni from Antony and the Johnsons and Roy Orbison.
