Since 2007, Reykjavík-based quartet Moses Hightower has been in the vanguard of Icelandic soul, its output “unlike anything else in Icelandic music” (Fréttablaðið). The band has performed sold-out concerts at venues big and small, released two critically acclaimed full-length albums, and received the Icelandic Music Awards for songwriting and lyrics on the latter.

Comprised of guitarist Daníel Friðrik Böðvarsson, drummer Magnús Trygvason Eliassen, bassist & lead singer Andri Ólafsson, and keyboard player & lead singer Steingrímur Karl Teague, Moses Hightower has from the start been, and continues to be, on a mission to warm Icelandic audiences with their trademark breed of funky, simmering soul goodness.
