Plastic Gods was founded during the summer of 2005 back when Dagur and Ingó were dreaming of playing some good tunes. Stoner and Sludge was the order of the day, but as time passed, doom slowly seeped into the mix and changed the general direction of the band. Guðmundur was recruited on guitars and later Plastic Gods was joined by Muggur(drums) and Andri(guitar) from Terminal Wreckage. The band started playing shows in early 2006 keeping a low profile, playing few shows while writing more material. Plastic Gods parted ways with Muggur and Andri about a year later and recruited  Finnbogi on guitars and Guðmundur's brother Höskuldur on the drums. The band continued writing new songs and playing a few shows. 2008 was the year when Plastic Gods stepped up their game and started performing more live, playing more frequently and appearing at the annual Eistnaflug festival. Towards the end of '08 work on the debut album "Quadriplegiac" was completed and it was released on december 12th on Molestin Records. Erling(Momentum) joined the band in 2010, beefing up the wall of guitars. 2011 saw the release of Plastic Gods eponymous second album, which mostly features material written before "Quadroplegiac". It will be a busy year for Plastic Gods, gigs are on the horizon, and work on their third album is well underway. So watch out for the hand of doom as Plastic Gods keep on moving.
