Iceland Music and FMX present:
New Nordics
In collaboration with our friends and colleagues from Faroe Music Export, we are hosting a New Nordics showcase at Colours Hoxton in London.
The showcase will feature performances from beloved singer-songwriter Elín Hall (IS), scuzz-rockers Spacestation (IS), rapper Marius DC (FO) and indie-pop artist Marianna Winter.
Elín Hall

Elín Hall is a celebrated Icelandic singer, songwriter and actress whose cinematic dream-pop blends intimate storytelling with an ethereal, otherworldly edge. Known for weaving fantasy into lived experience, her music explores fragility, resilience and the quiet surrealism of modern life, carried by her luminous voice and a visual aesthetic that feels both haunting and tender. She first drew wide critical acclaim with heyrist í mér? and has established herself as a prominent actress in Iceland, starring in the Cannes-selected film Solitude.
A couple of years ago Elín dragged the Line of Best Fit team to a cave in the Icelandic lava fields where they filmed this captivating performance of her song Manndráp af gáleysi. The video was produced in collaboration with Record in Iceland.
Marianna Winter

Born in Los Angeles and raised in the Faroe Islands, Marianna Winter creates music that bridges two worlds: the rugged, windswept landscapes of the North Atlantic and the vibrant energy of California. This duality defines her sound: dreamy yet grounded, rooted in alternative pop and indie pop-rock.Her upcoming debut album "The More You Know" feels like an old analog home recording where noise and distortion from the tape and the digitization have warped the overall image and the memories, but the feeling remains crystal clear.
Marius DC

Faroese rapper Marius DC started out at just 14 and now 22 years old, the MC has, across three EPs, explored existentialism, heartbreak, and classic hip-hop braggadocio, through the perspective of a young man growing up in one of the smallest countries in the world.
This is one of the sharpest live acts from the North Atlantic, playing the UK for the first time. His upcoming release, The MZA EP Vol II will be released in April. The first single, Free Gaza, finds the rapper taking a clear political stance for the first time in his career.
Spacestation

Spacestation’s first release, Hvítt vín, earned a 2024 Icelandic Music Award nomination, with the band winning the award the following year for the song
"Í Draumalandinu." Both tracks featured on their debut LP, Reykjavík Syndrome, released last year to unanimous critical acclaim. The noise rockers have toured Europe extensively ever since and are now heading to the US for the first time.
This constant life on the road is the inspiration behind Bjöggi’s Love Letter playlist, which he dedicates to homesickness. The energy is arctic and harsh but with enough homecomforts to keep you warm and toasty.
