Sunna Campaigns To Fund Trio Album – Pledges Needed!
November 4th, 2011 | News
Jazz pianist Sunna Gunnlaugs has launched a Kickstarter campaign to fund the imminent release of her new trio album ‘Long Pair Bond’ – and the pledges are rolling in. But she needs an extra $500! And that’s where you come in.
The album will be Gunnlaugs’ first trio CD since her debut in 1997 (although it is her seventh album) and will be released on 11th November 2011 at 11.11pm! Numerologists would have a field day with that one.
There’s still a week to go and Sunna needs more pledges to ensure the funding of her album will be complete in time – her target is $2000 – and at the time of writing she has reached $1529.
Get behind this fantastic Icelandic artist and you can also enjoy some pledger goodies – anything from a download of the album and the chance to hang out with the band at the London Jazz Festival, a ‘super-listener’ package, a DVD, free entry to concerts or even, if you stump up $500, a specially composed piece by Sunna for release on a future album, and a mention in the liner notes.
And don’t forget, if you’re in London, to check out Scene Iceland at the London Jazz Festival on 12th November on the Free Stage!
